The program enhances leadership across the sport sector by increasing Australia’s talent pool of future female sport leaders.
Women in senior sports management roles can apply for scholarships of up to $10,000 a year for three years; individuals are eligible for one-off grants of up to $5,000 and organisations are eligible for grants of up to $10,000.
Grants and scholarships are available in the areas of coaching, officiating, governance, administration as well as communications.
Women based in rural and regional areas, Indigenous women, women in disability sport and women from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds are encouraged to apply.
The Sport Leadership Grants and Scholarships for Women program is an Australian Government initiative managed by the Australian Sports Commission (ASC) and the Office for Women within the Department of Families, Housing, Community Services and Indigenous Affairs.

Who is eligible for a grant?
Individuals
Individual grant applicants must be females aged over 18 involved in a paid or volunteer role with a sporting organisations.
Organisations
Sporting organisations that apply must be committed to support, encourage and provide appropriate ongoing opportunities for women beneficiaries of the grant and be affiliated with a sporting organisation.
Who is eligible for a scholarship?
To be eligible for the scholarship program, women must be over 18 years of age, established in the sport industry with aspirations to move into prominent leadership roles.
