Cadel Shines in Australian Cycling's Night of Nights

The inaugrial "MTB Volunteer of the Year' award was given to Ray Rice (Western Sydney MTB Club). Other winners for MTB were:

• Troy Brosnan took out the Junior MTB Male Athlete of the Year
• Rebecca Henderson took home the award for Elite MTB Female Athlete of the Year
• Jared Graves won the Elite MTB Male Athlete of the Year

Many references throughout the night were made of the place MTB played in developing Australian cycling athletes with former Elite MTB athletes Nathan Haas and Steel van Hoff both winning awards, not to mention of course Cadel's history with MTB in his formative years. Tim Ellison - who has been instrumental in working with our emerging MTB development athletes - took home the Northern Territory Volunteer of the Year.

Congratulations to all the athletes, coaches, volunteers and administrators nominated and to those that ultimately won the award. Everyone of them have inspirational stories to tell and to be told.
