MTBA to start exciting new chapter in its relationship with Cycling Australia

MTBA will shortly embark on the next level of relationship with Cycling Australia by the signing of a Service Agreement for the delivery of some aspects of MTBA's administration.
MTBA's Executive Officer, Tony Scott said, "When we sign onto the Service Agreement with CA later this month this will be another chapter in the evolution of MTBA and our relationship with CA since re-affilliating in 2004. In particular is the opportunity to place a dedicated staff member in the Sydney CA office." He was quick to add, "This certainly is not about MTBA being absorbed back into CA - we will retain complete autonomy in all respects just as we are now - but more a recognition that as MTBA's business has grown so to has the need to have more staff manage that growth. The service agreement has given MTBA the opportunity to utilise the expertise of existing CA staff to more efficiently and effectively carry out some of the routine aspects of running MTBA."
The service agreement will come into play on July 1st.
In the meantime and in preparation for this MTBA has employed our first non-sport specialist full time employee who will be situated in CA's Mascot office. This will be the first point of contact for MTBA and management of MTBA's general administrative and development functions, acting as a conduit to coach and commissaire course planing and accreditations as well as providing administrative support for our National Sporting Director Chris Clarke and IMBA AU will take place there.
